Standard home insurance

Elite home insurance

New for old

Replaced new for old, regardless of wear and tear.

Special events

The amount your contents are insured for (‘sum insured’) will be increased by 10% over religious festivals you celebrate, and when you have a baby, get married or enter a civil partnership.

Downloaded data

Digital content that you’ve paid for and downloaded onto your home computer or a mobile device is covered. Downloaded data has a limit of £1000.

Alternative accommodation

If your home is unfit to live in after you’ve made a valid claim, costs of alternative accommodation, storage for your belongings and kennel fees for domestic pets are covered.

Accidental damage

Covers the contents of your home against unintentional damage. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.

Contents away from home

Option to increase the amount that certain personal possessions you can wear or take outside the house (e.g. laptop, jewellery, bicycle) are insured for. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.

Home emergency

You’ll get up to £500 towards call-out, labour and parts if there’s an emergency in your home. This would be an optional extra for both Standard and Elite insurance.

Legal protection

Provides financial help towards certain legal disputes (if the claim has at least 50% chance of success) and access to a 24-hour confidential helpline. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.
