Before you apply for Premier
You'll need to be aged 18 or over and a permanent UK resident.
And meet ONE of the following criteria:
1. Your income
2. Savings or Investments
3. Mortgage borrowings
Get our £180 offer when you switch into one of our Premier Reward accounts
Apply online or via our mobile app to open a new Premier Reward account and switch your current account held elsewhere using the Current Account Switch Service. This means your old bank account will close and any funds and Direct Debits will move over to us.
If you're an existing customer, you can switch your account held elsewhere in to an existing eligible Premier Reward account, or switch in and upgrade an existing account to one of our Premier Reward accounts.
To be eligible for the offer, within 60 days of completing the switch, you must:
- Have an eligible Premier Reward account.
- Pay in £1,250. This can be made of multiple payments and must remain in the account for 24 hours.
- Log in to our mobile app. If you already have the app, you’ll need to be on the latest version.
When you've met these conditions, we'll pay £180 into your eligible account within 7 days.

Confirming your identity
At the end of your application we might ask you to provide photo ID, proof of address and take a short video. We'll then check your details with our security partners HooYu or Digidocs.
Evidence of criteria met
To help us understand your needs and evidence the criteria you meet, please have the relevant financial documentation to hand (for example: statements, tax returns, bank statements).
Once you've completed your new Premier account application, we'll give you a call within two working days to talk about how Premier could help you.
If you are moving to the UK within the next 3 months, we would be able to welcome you to Premier banking once you have arrived in the country. Please contact our Premier banking team who will be happy to help.
If you are not moving to the UK, we would not be able to offer you the Premier service.
If you are living outside the UK but still within the EU. You could still open an account with NatWest.
