Ross Walker

Chief UK Economist and Head of Global Economics

Ross is Head of Global Economics and Chief UK Economist for NatWest Markets’ Economics and Markets Strategy team. His principal responsibilities are macroeconomic forecasting and central bank policy analysis.

Ross was ranked the #1 UK economic forecaster in The Sunday Times and Consensus Economics in 2015 and by Reuters and Consensus Economics in 2016.

Prior to joining NatWest in 1998, Ross worked as a Researcher for the President of the Board of Trade. He regularly contributes to surveys by the Bank of England, HM Treasury and private polling organisations.

Ross joined NatWest Markets on the graduate training programme in 1998, and has been in his current position since July 2016. He has a degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Manchester.
