Adam Hanke, Managing Director, Banks Coverage Transaction Banking

Adam leads the Banks Coverage Transaction Banking business, which consolidates the ownership of all of our Transaction Banking relationships with Banks clients globally into one team. With over a decade at NatWest, Adam has held several leadership positions across a number of geographies and sectors, most recently overseeing the UK and Europe. He now leverages this experience in his global remit, driving strategic initiatives across Correspondent and Agency Banking. He is dedicated to building strong and collaborative partnerships, with a commitment to collaboration, trust and innovation, integrating new technologies to enhance capabilities and customer experience. 

Brad Freeman, Director, EMEA Transaction Banking

Brad is a Relationship Director supporting our Transaction Banking relationships across the EMEA geography. Brad works in close collaboration with our FI partners with an immediate focus on Cash Clearing & Trade Finance, whilst also delivering across the entire NatWest Group platform.

Brad has a wealth of experience from a product, industry, and payments perspective, having joined the NatWest Group as a graduate in 2011.

Prior to his role as a Relationship Director, Brad operated as a Client Service Manager and Project Manager. In this capacity he successfully delivered continuous improvement initiatives, product implementations and regulatory change programmes.

Iain Wyper, Director, Americas Transaction Banking

Iain works within our Banks Coverage Transaction Banking team and is a Relationship Director for all Financial Institution Transaction Banking Clients in the USA, Canada and Latin America. Iain has extensive experience in the Transaction Banking arena and over the years has held various leadership roles in both Transaction Banking Sales and Account Management. He has a proven track record in developing good, strong client relationships with many of the largest and most complex clients and prides himself on delivering a high level of service. 

Martin Marshall, Relationship Manager, APAC Transaction Banking

Martin manages the APAC Transaction Banking business with 30 years’ experience looking after Financial Institutions, and over 15 years managing the Asia Pacific client franchise. Working closely with the APAC clients, he has helped develop and expand their proprietary solutions to client requirements, enabling them to improve their own customer journey. He now leverages this experience to drive strategic initiatives across Correspondent and Agency Banking. He is dedicated to building strong partnerships, with a commitment to collaboration, trust and innovation, thought leadership, integrating new technologies to enhance capabilities and customer experience. 

Milena Sheahan, Head of APAC Banks Coverage

Milena heads up the APAC Banks Coverage business within Financial Institutions at NatWest. Milena and her team are responsible for leading the delivery of the Banks APAC Coverage strategy for the APAC region, facilitating a connected institutional approach to NatWest’s most strategically valuable clients in the region. Since joining RBS in 2011, Milena has held a number of senior roles across the organisation including across the Large Corporates, Structured Finance and Financial Institutions businesses. Milena’s previous roles across the Financial Institutions franchise has seen her build up a broad expertise across both the Non-Banks FI and Bank FI marketplaces, including leading a set of complex NBFI clients with a particular focus on UK alternative lenders and UK/European NPL credit companies. Prior to joining NatWest, Milena started her career in Lloyds Banking Group, working across roles in Project Finance, including Infrastructure and Renewables, Debt Markets and finally prior to leaving, in its Global Corporates coverage business.

Anees Razzak, APAC Banks Coverage

Anees joined the APAC Banks Coverage business at NatWest during H1 24. Anees’s role is centred on delivering the C&I strategy for strategically important APAC bank clients, focusing on seamless client dialogue on a product-agnostic basis across NatWest Group. Prior to joining NatWest, Anees held several positions across the FIG-Credit space, most recently as Senior Credit Manager covering the MENA region, and has covered banks and sovereigns across both developed and emerging markets. He is dedicated to building strong, collaborative partnerships, and facilitating connected institutional strategy.

Paula Thistleton, Head of Network Management & Partnerships

Paula is the Head of Network Management for NatWest Group. Her team manage the external banking relationships which provide NatWest customers with access to international cash clearing, securities and collateral management services. Paula’s team also has responsibility for Partnerships in the Commercial Bank. Paula has been with NatWest for fourteen years. Prior to this, she lived in Dubai and worked as a Product Manager within the Securities Services division of Standard Chartered Bank. She started her Network Management career with ABN Amro after gaining wider banking experience through a variety of roles at UBS, Deutsche and Credit Suisse.

Mark Brant, Chief Payments Officer

Mark has extensive experience in the payments ecosystem and a track record of driving strategy and execution in leading payments organisations. He has led large-scale customer-centric transformational change and delivered strategic partnerships to drive long-term sustainable business growth. In January 2023, Mark joined NatWest as Chief Payments Officer, leading the NatWest Group Payments Centre of Expertise. Mark and team are accountable for the Group payments strategy, payments architecture, industry relations and operations, developing new propositions and accelerating innovation. Mark has over 25 years’ experience across the payments ecosystem, driving strategy, execution and partnerships through leadership positions at American Express and PayPal. Prior to joining NatWest, Mark was Chief Executive Officer at ParentPay Group, the leading payments and SaaS provider to the education sector. 

Ritu Sehgal, Managing Director, Head of TS Sales & Trade

Ritu leads NatWest Transaction Services and Trade team with a remit to drive business development strategy and PnL for Corporates and Financial Institutions across a payments products suite including digital solutions, trade finance, cash management and cards. Before joining NatWest in April 2022, she had a stint at a cross-border payments start up as their Chief Commercial Officer leading the UK strategy and launch. Prior to that Ritu led the Financial Institutions Payments Sales team at Lloyds Bank where she spent over 10 years across FI coverage and Transaction Banking.

Alec Brick, Director, TS Sales

Alec is a Director in the NatWest Transaction Services sales team supporting Correspondent Banks and Indirect Access clients in providing digital payment solutions. Alec has directly supported our FI clients for the last 24 years, having more than 44 years’ experience in NatWest Group across numerous operational and front-line roles.

Rowan Austin, Managing Director, Trade Advisory

Rowan is Head of Trade Origination & Advisory. Along with his team, Rowan is responsible for working with large corporate and Financial Institution customers across the UK, Western Europe and the US to deliver working capital solutions supporting domestic and cross-border trade. Rowan is driving NatWest’s presence and capability in the Trade and Supply Chain Finance market, with a key focus on innovation, new propositions and business development. Rowan has extensive cross-product and sectoral knowledge. and has worked for four banks across six continents. Rowan started his banking career with Goldman Sachs before joining Barclays and performing roles across Corporate, International and Investment Banking. He then joined Europe Arab Bank, where he built a commodity and trade finance function across Europe and the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.
