What is averaging?

To avoid the effects of any sudden changes in stock market value as your investment nears maturity, we use an averaging technique to calculate the final value of the Relevant Index.

The Final Index Level will be calculated by using the average of the closing levels of the Relevant Index each month over the period specified in your Details of Terms document leading up to and including the applicable maturity date.
