Get our £180 offer when you switch into one of our Reward accounts
Apply online or via our mobile app to open a new Reward account and switch your current account held elsewhere using the Current Account Switch Service. This means your old bank account will close and any funds and Direct Debits will move over to us.
If you're an existing customer, you can switch your account held elsewhere in to an existing eligible Reward account, or switch in and upgrade an existing account to one of our Reward accounts.
To be eligible for the offer, within 60 days of completing the switch, you must:
- Have an eligible Reward account.
- Pay in £1,250. This can be made of multiple payments and must remain in the account for 24 hours.
- Log in to our mobile app. If you already have the app, you’ll need to be on the latest version.
Account must be opened in a sole name before being made joint. It's not possible to switch a joint account into a sole account. If you're looking to switch in a joint account to us, you will need to wait for the joint account process to complete before requesting the switch.
When you've met these conditions, we'll pay £180 into your eligible account within 7 days.
Monthly fees apply. If you've previously received a switch incentive from NatWest Group, you won't be eligible for this offer. Offer can be withdrawn or amended at any time due to limited availability. App criteria apply. Offer T&Cs apply.
Why a joint bank account may be best for you?
A joint bank account is simply a type of account that gives equal access to two people, making both parties responsible for the account.
It’s much like having your own, the only difference is that you can both control what happens. This includes making payments, setting up Direct Debits and using any arranged overdraft.
Joint accounts are commonly used to manage shared household bills. This might be with a housemate or a partner. These accounts are useful for outgoings such as:
- Mortgage
- Rent
- Groceries
- Utility bills
When you have a joint current account you’ll both get a contactless debit card. You can also manage your joint account using the mobile banking app or via Online Banking.
