With our Credit Card Instalment Plan, you could spread the cost of an eligible purchase.

You won’t pay interest – instead, you’ll pay a fixed amount each month. This could save you money.

There are a number of factors that contribute to being eligible for an Instalment Plan. These include having a; transaction between £50-£3,000 either on your latest statement or applied to your account since your last statement was produced, a credit card with a standard purchase APR above 6.9% and your account is within your credit limit.

With our Credit Card Instalment Plan, you could:

• Choose if you want to pay us back over 3, 6, 12 or 24 months.
• Budget better, as you pay a fixed monthly fee.
• Pay less, potentially, as you pay a fixed monthly fee, not interest, which could be cheaper.

What you need to know about our Credit Card Instalment Plan:

• It costs less than the usual repayment interest on your card.
• You'll need the NatWest app to set up, track and manage it.
• We'll alert you if you can get it via the app. 
• It's for existing credit card customers only. 
• Eligibility criteria and monthly fees apply.
• You can only get it for a transaction that's on your latest statement, or added just after your statement was produced.
• You can't have a cash balance on your credit card account.
• Your monthly payments and fee depend on the cost of your purchase and how long you choose to pay it back.
• You can't increase your credit limit by moving a purchase to a Credit Card Instalment Plan, as it's included within the Plan.

Just so you know… 

The credit score is from TransUnion. To see it in the app, you’ll need to opt in there and be an 18+ customer, with a UK address. To get our app, you must be age 11 or over, have a UK mobile number (or international mobile number in some countries) and use a compatible iOS and Android device.

Most people pay by Direct Debit because it's easy:

• You won’t forget to pay.
• You don’t risk late fees.

After you set up a Direct Debit, we’ll automatically take your payment each month. We usually do this 25 calendar days after you get your statement, or soon after.

With a Direct Debit, you could choose to pay:

• The full balance each month.
• The minimum amount each month.
• A fixed amount each month.

• Online Banking.
• Another UK bank account via Open Banking (Payit™).

Late paying

If you’re late paying, we’ll charge you a fee of £12. That’s why setting up a Direct Debit makes sense – you’ll never be late paying again. We get that little mistakes are easy to make, so if you miss your payment due date by just one day, we won't charge you the late payment fee.

Over your limit

If you go over your limit we’ll charge you a fee of £12. If you only go over your limit by £12 or less, we won’t charge you. A good way to avoid going over your limit is to log onto NatWest Online Banking or fire up our mobile app and check your balance before you make your next card purchase.
