Cover options

Standard home insurance

The most popular product, offering flexibility to adjust to your needs. Up to £1m Building cover (the amount paid up to for the cost of repairs or rebuild of your home) following a valid claim. £50,000 (new for old) Contents cover (the total amount paid up to for repair or replacing affected contents). Elite home insurance

All the benefits of Standard, with higher levels of cover. Unlimited Building cover (the amount paid up to for the cost of repairs or rebuild of your home) following a valid claim. £100,000 (new for old) Contents cover (the total amount paid up to for repair or replacing affected contents). Core cover

Building cover

You can claim towards the cost of repairing or rebuilding your home following a valid claim.

Contents cover

Replace new for old, regardless of wear and tear following a valid claim.

Downloaded data

Digital content that you’ve paid for and downloaded onto your home computer, laptop or a mobile device is covered.

Special events

The amount your contents are insured for (‘sum insured’) will be increased by 10% over Christmas.

Contents away from home

This covers certain personal possessions (e.g. laptop, jewellery, bicycle) that you can wear or you take outside the house.

Optional extras

Accidental damage

Unintentional damage (such as DIY accidents) in parts of the building you’re responsible for will be paid. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.

Home emergency

You’ll get up to £500 towards call-out, labour and parts if there’s an emergency in your home. This would be an optional extra for both Standard and Elite insurance.

Legal protection

Provides financial help towards you and your dependents in certain legal disputes (if the claim has at least 50% chance of success) and access to a 24-hour confidential helpline. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.

Personal possessions

You can get cover for items taken outside your home eg. Laptops, jewellery, pedal cycles. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.

Switch your home insurance

When you switch to NatWest home insurance, you can claim up to £50 towards any cancellation fees your current insurer charges. Once you’ve cancelled your existing cover and taken out your policy, get in touch with U K Insurance Limited. They’ll arrange for you to be reimbursed within 7 to 10 working days.
