The interest rate wording on my Savings account says 'your rates have been combined'. What does this mean?
Where there is more than one interest rate applicable, for example the standard and conditional bonus rates on Premium Saver and Savings Builder, the rates are combined using a standard calculation to provide the total interest rate payable.
If you have a Savings Builder and are on the first bonus step you will be told ‘your rates have been combined’. This is because Savings Builder has a standard interest rate of 0.00%, plus any bonus interest rate applicable. We are combining the 0.00% standard rate and the bonus rate together to provide a total figure.
