I get an error message when trying to apply for an account online, what should I do?
The following error message can occur on the 'Account summary' page of the online application and is normally caused by your browser language settings.
Error Message: [ServletException in:/WEB-INF/tailoring/CAO800C.jsp Wrong format string: '###,###,###,##0.00"
If you encounter this message you need to check your browser language settings include 'English (United Kingdom) [en-GB]' and that it's at the top of your language preferences.

Internet Explorer
- Select 'Tools' menu normally located at the top of the browser.
- Select 'Internet Options'.
- Select 'General' tab.
- Click on the 'Languages' button.
- Click 'Add' button.
- Select 'English (United Kingdom) en-GB' and click 'OK' button.
- Use 'Move Up' button, to place English (United Kingdom) en-GB at the top of the list.
- Click OK button to close the languages window and OK again to close internet options.
- Close and re-open Internet Explorer then try the application form again.
Firefox
- Select 'Tools' menu normally located at the top of the browser.
- Select 'Options'.
- Select the 'Content' tab.
- Under Languages click 'Choose' button.
- Click drop down box 'Select a language to add..'.
- Select 'English/United Kingdom [en-gb]' and click 'Add' button.
- Use 'Move Up' button, to place English/United Kingdom [en-gb] at the top of the list.
- Click 'OK' button to close the languages window and 'OK' again to close the options window.
- Close and re-open Firefox then try the application form again.
Opera
- Select 'Tools' menu normally located at the top of the browser.
- Select 'Preferences...'
- Select 'General' tab.
- Under languages click 'Details' button.
- Click 'Add' button.
- Select 'British English, [en-GB]' and click 'OK' button.
- Use 'Up' button to place British English, [en-GB] at the top of the list.
- Click OK button to close the languages window and OK again to close preferences.
- Close and re-open Opera then try the application form again.
