How can you request an up to date mortgage valuation on your property?

You can use 'Manage your Mortgage’ to request a new valuation on your property. You can also check your free house price index (HPI) value which is updated quarterly. You can find it in the NatWest app or Online Banking. If you haven't used them yet, here's some guidance (opens in a new window)on how to access them. It doesn't matter whether you have other NatWest accounts or just a mortgage.

If an app isn't for you, you can also use Manage Your Mortgage (opens in a new window)

You’ll also be able to check the last valuation of your property and date it was carried out. Your current loan to value (LTV) is calculated using the higher of the HPI or last valuation. You can pay for a new valuation of your property and we will arrange for this to be carried out by an independent valuer. The cost depends on your property’s value.

Please be aware that the new valuation will be used to calculate your revised LTV, whether it’s higher or lower than the last valuation or HPI value. This may affect the amount of additional borrowing you can apply for and the deals you’re eligible to switch to.
