When will my debit card arrive?
When your new debit card arrives will depend on a number of circumstances.
New cards for new accounts
Once your account is opened your debit card will arrive with you within the next 3-5 working days.
If you live abroad the timescales will be longer. This is because each countries postal system and timescales vary.
If your new card has not arrived within these timescales please contact telephone banking.
Lost and stolen cards
Your debit card will arrive within the next 3-5 working days from when it was ordered.
If your replacement card has not arrived within these timescales please contact telephone banking.
Replacement cards
Your debit card will arrive within the next 5 working days from when it was ordered.
If your replacement card has not arrived within these timescales please contact telephone banking.
The card reveal feature within the mobile app will provide you with your full debit card details, allowing you to continue transacting online while you wait for your card to arrive in the post.
Debit Card about to reach its expiry date
Your debit card will arrive at least 1 week before the existing card is due to expire. The date on which your debit card will expire is the last day of the month in the year printed on the front of your card. It is shown as 'Expires End MM/YY'.
However, please be aware that if you haven't used your card for a period of at least 13 months prior to expiry, we don't automatically replace your card. If at any time you go on to require a card, please contact us and we would be more than happy to order you one.
Please begin to use your new card as soon as it has arrived, and destroy your old card securely.
Please note: with any new or replacement card, remember to amend any existing payments with any companies you have set up your old debit card number with (e.g. magazine subscriptions, online shopping sites, annual insurance renewals).
