How do I change the PIN for my debit card?
Changing your debit card PIN
You can change the PIN for your debit card at any Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest or Isle of Man Bank cash machine. Simply insert your card and follow the on-screen instructions. Please choose your new PIN carefully and don't share it with anyone else.
Forgotten your debit card PIN?
You can order a PIN reminder online:
- Log in to Online Banking at www.onlinebanking.natwest.com (opens in a new window)
- Select 'Cards' from the main menu.
- In the 'Manage your debit card' section select 'Get a PIN reminder' from the menu.
- Enter the last 5 digits of your NatWest debit card and your date of birth into the online form.
- Select 'Submit' and one will be sent to you within 3-5 working days.
You can also see your PIN now on your app:
- Log in to the app and select your account.
- Tap 'Manage my card'.
- Choose 'See PIN'.
- Complete authentication and your PIN will be shown on the screen.
Forgotten your credit card PIN?
If you have forgotten the PIN for your credit card, you can order a reminder on your app:
- Log in to the app and select your credit card.
- Choose 'PIN services' then 'PIN reminder'.
- Fill in the form and tap 'Submit' to receive your PIN reminder.
Or you can call the number on the back of your credit card. Please note calls may be recorded.
Using your card reader
To be able to use your card reader with your new PIN, you will need to:
- Use your debit card and PIN via a chip and PIN transaction, such as using an ATM or making a purchase, after you have changed the PIN.
