How long does it take to make a payment to my credit card?
Below are the different ways that a NatWest credit card bill can be paid, and the time to allow for each payment method.
NatWest Mobile App
- Up to midnight the following working day
NatWest Online Banking
- 2 hours for Faster Payments
- 3 full working days for other payments
NatWest telephone banking - NatWest current account holders only
- 2 hours for Faster Payments
- 3 full working days for other payments
At any branch of NatWest or Royal Bank of Scotland
- 2 hours for Faster Payments
- 3 full working days for cash and other payments
- If paying by cheque, funds must be cleared before payment is accepted
Direct debit
- Minimum payment - payment is claimed 25 calendar days from statement date or shortly afterwards
- Full payment - payment is claimed 15 calendar days from statement date or shortly afterwards
Cheque payments by post
- 7 full working days
- Funds must be cleared before payment is accepted
Another banks' online and telephone banking services
- 2 hours for Faster Payments
- 3 full working days for other payments
Working days excludes weekends and bank holidays.
At a branch of any other bank
- 3 full working days
- If paying by cheque, funds must be cleared before payment is accepted
