What phones are covered under my mobile phone insurance?
Cover is limited to phones that:
- have a screen size of less than 7 inches (measured diagonally)
- are the manufacturer’s standard design and specification
- cannot be used as a satellite phone; and
- have not been manufactured wholly or partly from precious or semi-precious metals, stones or crystals.
The table below outlines who is covered under your policy, the claims allowance in any 12 month period and any excess that applies.
Silver and Platinum accounts cover the phone you use on a daily basis. If your account is in joint names, cover is also provided for the phone the other account holder uses on a daily basis. There is no cover for phones that are owned by your employer.
Black accounts cover the phone you use on a daily basis and, if applicable, the phones used on a daily basis by your partner and/or your dependent children. There is no cover for phones that are owned by your employer.
